We are an open R&D lab for individuals, collectives, organizations, and companies to propose and develop meaningful interventions that enrich, empower, and scale local emergingregenerativeeconomies
At Fab Lab Bali, we act as a facilitator for diverse actors to make, impact, and inspire meaningful innovations through the magic of digital fabrication, prototyping design, and education
Join our blended-education and personalized learning programs to learn the skills of the future and build your innovation capacity to make impact!
Fab Academy is a Digital Fabrication learning programme directed by Neil Gershenfeld of MIT’s Center For Bits and Atoms and based on MIT’s rapid prototyping course: How to Make (Almost) Anything.
It is a fast paced, hands-on learning experience where students learn the applications and implications of rapid-prototyping with digital fabrication by planning and executing a new project each week, resulting in a personal portfolio of technical accomplishments.
The Master in Design for Distributed Innovation (MDDI) is a distributed learning program focused on the intersection of design, technology, ecosystems, and communities to improve interspecies wellbeing. It combines online and in-person learning to support innovators to gain the social and technical skills needed to develop projects for positive impact with their own communities that aim for measurable transformational change towards planetary consciousness.
The Fabricademy is a intensive course blending digital fabrication, textiles, and biology to explore the synergy between humans, technology, and the environment. With a focus on embodiment, materiality, ecodesign, biodesign, and smart textiles, the program follows a hands-on, bottom-up approach. By the end of the course, students will develop a three-month personal project, supported by local lab resources, instructors, and global experts mentorship.
We provide expert guidance and technical assistance for rapid prototyping and early-stage product development through facilitating local challenge-based events, hackathon, and residency.
The Fab Island Challenge brought together local and global innovation communities to propose and prototype design outputs for meaningful interventions that enrich, empower and scale Bali’s emerging regenerative economy.
In-house action research and innovation projects initiative. Let us guide you in testing, refining, and implementing your projects in real-life scenarios.
